All coaching courses are administered and delivered by the Scottish FA. For further information on coaching courses,

All SYFA officials must complete the Children's Wellbeing in Scottish Football e-learning course.

All teams in membership of the SYFA must have at least one coach in possession of the minimum coaching requirements:

For teams up to and including age 12:        Children's Coaching Certificate (1.2)

For teams age 13 and over :                       Youth/Adult Coaching Certificate (1.2)
